Fundamental FEATURES
Loftier and Low Level Inputs
An amplifier with both loftier-level and depression-level inputs provides flexibility by allowing you to build an sound system using almost any standard factory or aftermarket source unit. Loftier-level (speaker level) inputs have the bespeak from the speakers, while low-level (RCA) inputs accept the signal from the pre-amp outputs of the source unit.
MOSFET
MOSFET stands for Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor. MOSFETs are used either as a switch or to amplify a betoken. MOSFETs are superior to other FETs, because they require less current to operate, which makes them ameliorate suited for automobile audio.
Phase Control
The stage control feature allows yous to adjust the speakers phase to ensure all audio signals are playing together rather than against each other. When bass notes are noticeably absent, a quick and like shooting fish in a barrel adjustment to the phase control could provide the perfect remedy.
Protection
If the amplifier gets too hot, the thermal protection circuit turns the amp off and allows the amp to cool down before turning information technology back on. If a speaker fails causing an electrical short, the protection circuit will automatically cutting the output and remain in that state until the brusk is resolved. These safety features give you peace of mind knowing the amplifier is constantly monitoring conditions to protect itself.

Very impressed with the style this affair sounds! It didn't take long for me to install and after some adjustments with the EQ on the unit itself along with my radio nuance it'due south such a full rich sound! My favorite feature is the lilliputian bass adjustment knob, because the bass is almost to much (depending on the song I play) so I tin can suit how much bass I want ! I've endemic a few other audio systems simply this Is the all-time because Information technology'south compact and fits under my back seat without take up space and it's actually really loud! If you're hesitant to buy don't be, this is an astonishing unit with dandy build quality and bully sound !

So far so adept. I'm giving it iii stars now due to ...
And then far so good. I'm giving it iii stars now due to tha fact that I only opened it. I came home off the road long enough to shower and open the box. I saw the measurements but you can't always til how big it is until you lot see information technology and hold information technology (that's what she said!!). Then it definitely won't fit under my front seat as I was hoping. And then I volition let y'all know how it works and where information technology fits( she said that too!!) on the next and last review.
Okay installed concluding Dominicus. It's pretty cool. Information technology brings out the bass. It does feel like it'southward missing something on some vocal but over all she whams for within the truck. The only thing is it gets very hot. My installer said existence it's and then compact it doesn't have a cooling fan and it may cut off just information technology volition come dorsum when it cools down. It's good at present

LoPro8
Installed the LoPro8 under the rear seat of my Z71 Silverado. I ordered a wiring kit as well. Betwixt the two, i had the install working and buttoned up in two and a half hours. This amp/sub is perfect for this size truck. I would have never thought i could get that much amp and that much sub for nether $100. The best part is, its all one unit. Its seems to be designed well. Thought put into the connectivity and functionality of the unit of measurement. Its a straight forward install for a more than predictable result. I would recommend the LoPro Series to anyone wanting to raise their audio quality in a vehicle where space is at a premium. It works every bit it should and sounds even improve.

nice upgrade - rounds out your organisation nicely
like shooting fish in a barrel install - good controls brand it easy to fine tune level and frequency. nice punch to add to a stock or organisation or if y'all just want a fiddling more bottom stop punch. if you call back your organization sounds good but not enough bass or not loud enough - this can make a difference. information technology is more powerful than you would think a low profile sub could be.

Good for limited infinite vehicles only not so good at...
It'southward decent for the price and it is definitely for someone who is limited on space only wants a petty heave in bass. Though, I did terminate upwardly returning it because I couldn't find the bass after driving at superhighway speeds and overall just wasn't powerful enough for me. I'chiliad downgrading from a 12" Tall Type-R to something smaller since I bought a new car that has smaller trunk space and comparing that to this similar day and night. I know it's not a fair comparison but if yous are trying to discover something that will give you shut to the feel of a 12", this is not it. Information technology'south going to exist hard to find something of that upshot in this size, so I would suggest, if you lot tin can, endeavor looking at bass tubes with built in amps. I personally went for the Powerbass BTA8 definitely a game changer for around the same price.

Impressed
I was skeptical at first given the size and the toll bespeak. I purchased this for a crew cab F150 and was able to install it behind the rear seats. By going this route I tin have the seats folded up and actually have MORE infinite than I did with the stock sub and it sounds better every bit well. I'one thousand nonetheless quite impressed at the audio, every bit others said it volition brainstorm to roll off around 40hz simply given the size and installation freedom it fits my needs well for a good compromise betwixt sound a practicality. I did not detect any woofer parameters but given the tiny enclosure volume I tin can only presume this unit is doing a fair bit of processing to trick the mind into perceiving more than its actually doing, this is a common tactic employed by a lot of compact Bluetooth speakers as well. Information technology works well enough for casual listening.

Excellent Value for Coin
Astonishing for the price. I have a jeep and I needed some extra base of operations merely didn't want to shatter all the windows in my neighborhood. This does exactly that. I can still hear and feel the base whilst traveling in the jeep with the roof, doors and windows off. I was skeptical of the skilful reviews for this product merely thought I would requite it a go and I haven't been disappointed. I honey information technology. I was nervous about the wiring merely I bought the recommended wiring kit and watched a few yous tube videos and it works great.

Splendid, easily down.
I do plenty of research on products earlier I install them to my truck. I chose to purchase and install this amplified subwoofer in my truck over the other one I contemplated on purchasing which was the low contour, compact Rockville 10" amplified subwoofer. I read reviews and watched videos of anybody'south thoughts on each and ultimately bought his one. I could non be happier. Since I ain a2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT regular cab I don't accept much space at all behind the seats for a sub and amp installation. I've had a dissever amp and sub installed earlier behind the seats and it took away the "actress room" backside the seats which acquired you to have to "sit" on the steering bike and passenger on he airbag which fabricated it an uncomfortable ride. I then installed a Dual ten" amplified subwoofer which was slap-up, merely then again took too much space.
This product is perfect. I would rate more stars if I could. He production design excellent with information technology'southward all metal casing with a grayness-black brushed metallic finish. Some people actually want a eye-thumping sort of base of operations that wakes upwardly your neighbors. To me that's way besides much particularly since that'southward annoying. To exist honest how much bass do you lot really need for a small auto, SUV or fifty-fifty in my instance a single cab truck? This sub does great. I have his wired up to my new Dual XDVD236BT head unit which I bought from Walmart for $100. I could not be happier with the performance of both of these combined. I at present take an first-class caput unit with a great amp-sub combo that is plenty loud for me. Best thing of all information technology comes with adjustable tuning in the forepart of he sub as well as the adjustable bass knob hat I have mounted correct hbehind the centre seat where my middle panel is and then it's out of sight. Great chore Sound Storm. Excellent product.
I am recommending his to anyone who wants to accept a pocket-size meaty sub that is IMHO an excellent loud sub, that tin can fit almost anywhere in your vehicle. I currently have mine mounted under the passenger seat with strong Velcro to keep it from sliding.

Amazing audio!
Amazing sound!! I drive a 2 door Jeep Wrangler JK and it puts out a lot more bass than expected! Very easy install, I used the Dominate 8 approximate wiring kit. Unfortunately it did Non fit underneath whatsoever of my seats..but it does fit perfectly behind the rear seat underneath the fabric. Information technology may not be the most professional location to install it, but and then far, no bug with estrus, distortion, etc. Would definitely recommend!

Very good subwoofer !
I've had three of these slim powered subwoofers. A dominate eight", a lanzar 10", and this SSL eight".
The outset two had relatively short life spans and the Lanzar was just weak and plain terrible. I'm guessing this volition merely terminal a couple of years too, but! This SSL sounds absolutely amazing for its size and price. I was very surprised at how proficient information technology sounded before I fifty-fifty tuned information technology. It is accurate, tight, deep and loud. It has plenty of power to pair with amplified mids. I plan on buying a four aqueduct amp to compliment this subwoofer. Information technology sounds that good.
If you are looking for a low profile sub and desire a healthy amount of low frequency response; this should be at the height of a very curt listing. This has to be 1 of the best around currently, regardless of price range. Dissimilar my previous slim subs; this one draws serious current and begs for a complimentary capacitor. I'm going to install a ii farad cap to assistance the amp maintain a steady electric current.
*This sub is mounted nether the rear seat of a 4door pickup (Contrivance Dakota)

Hide a sub. Sounds great, Perfect if yous desire to add some bump for just y'all.
I installed this in my 2006 scion XB. I removed the plastic tray in the dorsum to the right of the spare tire. I cut out the bottom of the foamy/plastic tray and stuck some velcro to the lesser, Stuck some velcro to the top and adhere the sub itself to it. The padding acts like a inexpensive dynamat. And I put the cover back over it, cut a pigsty out for a speaker grate. Information technology all looks very factory and the audio is smashing.
If you are looking for 2 12s, and so go two twelves, These wont run in the aforementioned field but honestly they sound and bump great. I dont intendance if everyone else hears my music, simply me, and for that case wow it sounds great. The price just cannot be trounce if you want a cheap mode to upgrade a factory radio only a bit.
Small size makes information technology easy to hide as well.

Two years going strong! Great value!
I love this subwoofer. I'm not a bass fanatic, but I am a bit of an audiophile every bit I am a concert pianist. I wasn't looking to milk shake my 2002 Toyota Tundra, simply I wanted to fill out my audio space. This thing certainly did the fox. Also, it seems quite durable from my experience because nosotros are 2 years in going strong. I installed the woofer under my driver's seat in April 2014, and I have been using it almost daily. I bask a diverseness of music, and it does well with classical works, rock, techno, R&B, and even dubstep. It can boot moderately difficult if you want it to.

Well for one it won't nail similar a pair of tens or more than so don't look that. I wanted some extra bass not a loud booming vehicle. This product delivered exactly that. Paired with a decent head unit with adjustability and your in business. I am and then happy with it I'thou thinking of ownership another for a unlike vehicle.

1200 watt x inch subwoofer Lowepro
The unit I have is the 1200 watt x inch subwoofer It sounds slap-up I do have a problem with when I turn up the volume it gets drowned out by the highs and when I turn the volume downwardly he gets drowned out by bass so I constantly take to adjust the input on my deck I will be adding another unit to the other side seat so I have a surroundings sound the unit is installed in a 2002 GMC sierra 1500 extended cab.

Clean sounding lows at a much higher than expected level!
I did not expect such huge sound out of such a pocket-sized packet! I mounted this puppy under my seat in my Jeep Wrangler TJ (had to cut a little metal out of the front seat supports) and it produces clean hitting lows at more than enough volume for my tastes. I mind to mostly hard rock/technical metal/technical progressive and this SSL LOPRO8 is allowing me to feel the music. I am driving this powered sub with a Soundstream MPQ-4US which has a dissever Bass out and level control. This unit also comes with a remote to adapt level, but I did not need it. At that place are a few EQ and driving level control options on the sub to tune information technology to your equipment and surroundings. I am feeding the sub with 8 Ga stranded copper from the bombardment with a local ground. Using an 80 amp billow at the battery which too feeds my main amp. The Sub turns On and Off with a typical ignition power feed from the existing radio circuit (nearly vehicles have this). If yous want to relocate the organs of people in vehicles next to yous this obviously wont be able to do that, but if you demand a powered sub to fit in a tight identify and really provide more than than adequate bass levels this would seem to be a good choice. This sub will allow yous push information technology too hard if y'all allow information technology, and could contribute to premature failure... utilise mutual sense as with any audio system.

VERY nice, and I'm DEFINITELY very happy.
***Ok, it'southward now a couple of months afterward the installation and I'one thousand upgrading this lilliputian unit to 5 stars. It'due south dialed in, set to my preferences, and now all I have to practice is the occasional tweak to the remote knob on the nuance depending on the rails / genre that'southward playing through the head unit. There's a respectable amount of bass, it's clean, information technology'southward got a good dial and I'm not abusing information technology at all, just using it to fill up in the bottom finish. I'd buy some other ane in a heartbeat if I needed a sub for another vehicle, and I've recommended it to several friends / family that are upgrading their systems also. Notwithstanding haven't covered upwards the blue LED, merely it'due south situated on the nuance so when I'yard driving, the steering wheel blocks that LED from my optics... I'm ok with that.**
Had it professionally installed in a '94 Chevy C1500 regular cab under the passenger seat, out of sight. It's paired upwardly to a Pioneer head unit using RCA plugs, and filling in the bottom end for the Pioneer 2 mode 4x6 dash speakers and factory 4x6 pillar speakers (pillar speakers soon to be replaced).
Get-go, I bought this on the force of the reviews I read here on Amazon. I'm happy to say, this sub seems to live upwardly to those reviews. Information technology's merely been in the truck for 2 days now, then I'thou still dialing information technology in, but it rocks. Even the installer (who had never seen the LOPRO8 before) was surprised in a very good mode as to how prissy it sounds and has said he'll be recommending it to his customers looking for something to fit in a pocket-sized infinite. No, it won't rattle neighbour's windows 3 doors down the street, and no, information technology won't vibrate the mirrors on the car next to me at the stoplight, but I'm 53 years old and Manner past that stage. Information technology fills my truck cab VERY nicely without overpowering the rest of the music, which is all I demand or want....

I'one thousand very pleased with this little subwoofer solution
I'm very pleased with this little subwoofer solution. I needed something that would be meaty and out of the style, plus I really just wanted a little fleck of bass to circular out my listening experience. This seemed to be a really good fit for my criteria and the cost was definitely right.
I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars considering the sound could be amend. The response could be a bit tighter, it's a little flubby or loose in the low end. All things considered, though, I'chiliad still very impressed with it. It's plenty loud and it really brings out the dial in a kick drum, which is mainly what I wanted. But make sure y'all take some time to mess effectually with the settings (don't forget nearly the settings in your cd histrion!) to find the optimal audio for you.
Also, I purchased the BOSS Audio KIT2 eight Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit which provided me with everything I needed (and more) to get my subwoofer set up. Ready upwardly was like shooting fish in a barrel plenty that I was able to take some tools to piece of work the 24-hour interval that it arrived and install it at the park. I've been using this for over a month now and I would recommend this to someone who just wants a tasteful amount of sub-frequencies in a pocket-sized pes print.

Factory Organisation Upgraded: Custom install for a perfect fit in my 2011 KIA Sportage
This Amp/Sub combo fit my needs perfectly to upgrade the factory system in my 2011 KIA Sportage. I was a bit concerned about the quality of lows a unit this size could deliver, but man! I am very satisfied with my decisions to go with the SSL LOPRO8. I had very limited space to work with every bit I am not willing to surrender the cargo/trunk surface area for a sub enclosure; been there done that. Far gone are the days of announcing my inflow to the party from 3 blocks away. Fortunately the Sportage has a storage compartment between the spare tire compartment and the bed of the cargo space, separated with a ridged Styrofoam shelf. I hoped to utilized the factory Styrofoam course to house a shallow mount sub, and instead of using my old Crunch k watt bridgeable amp connected to a sub, this all-in-one unit of measurement works GREAT! Later initial installation tuning the amp/sub was necessary to notice the sweet spot in acoustical rest with the factory arrangement components. After about two hours of tuning and putting the unit to the test past pumping multiple musical genres (Metal/Rock, Reggae, R&B, Hip Hop, Classical and Land) through her, the unit of measurement went into protection manner. I'd hoped that the unit would run cool enough by itself to avoid a shut down just I likewise knew that the Styrofoam storage shelf is a perfect insulator and has virtually no air catamenia....

Adept petty unit for Jeeps.
I am impressed with this piffling guy! I honestly didn't have as well high of hopes, based on the price and some negative reviews, but I was quite pleasantly surprised.
First, let's talk nigh its functioning. This thing puts out an incredible amount of bass, in spite of its small parcel. Manner more bass, in fact, than I need; I had to turn the gain and bass boost down. I wasn't looking for something to blast my way through the 'hood, just needed some bass to circular out my organization. This fit the bill perfectly; no more 'hollow' stereo sound! I've only had it in for a day, and so I'k still tweaking the settings. I look that information technology'll exist even better once I notice the sweet spot.
Next, aesthetics, size, and functionality. I bought this for me Wrangler TJ (which I'm doing a total restore on), so size was super important. For those of y'all who accept Jeeps, you lot know there isn't much extra room inside. **Note to TJ owners: this does not fit under either of the front seats (on mine, at to the lowest degree). That is where I planned to put it, but no such luck.*** I ended up putting it under the rear seat, and it fits quite nicely; you lot can't even see it (which is good for theft deterrent). I needed to keep information technology hidden because I take a soft top, just if that isn't a business concern for you, don't fear; this is a precipitous looking unit. If you mounted information technology somewhere visible, information technology definitely won't exist an middle sore. Hooking it up was unproblematic and straight forward. You will demand your own power, ground, RCA, and speaker wires, though. It does come up with two options for mounting: Velcro (which is what I used), and brackets; what you apply will depend on where you put information technology.
Overall, this was a great purchase. I was considering getting two units, because I didn't think an 8 inch would accept enough umph, only it certainly does. I would have wasted my money if I'd have purchased a 2nd ane; it just isn't needed.
Obviously, I can't attest to its durability or longevity yet, so I'll update if it craps out on me.

Good for the size/price
It's been almost one month since I installed this under the rider seat of my 2010 Ford Focus coupe (was initially a bit worried about passenger side rear seat foot infinite, but I take since removed my rear seats entirely, and so this is no longer an issue).
First, the hardware:
- You need 6Ga or smaller wire. The 1/0 install kit I accidentally purchased was much as well large - the 4ga kit i intended on would also have been too big.
- One side gets significantly hotter than the other (forth the heat fins). In the master product flick, this would be the left side. I'g sure the negative reviews of protection mode are due to a lack of proper cooling/airflow along the fins. Luckily in its current location I can a.) safely reach over and feel how hot information technology's getting and b.) blast AC air correct along information technology if I feel it'due south necessary.
- The other reviewers weren't kidding about how bright the remote's blueish LED is. I installed it in my glove box. Strongly advise blackness masking/gaffers record or black nail shine or SOMETHING to mitigate the light. I'one thousand still liking the glove box install 6mo afterward. Surprises/blinds me and anyone going into my glove box on occasion however. Do not put this light anywhere aimed at the driver without blocking/dimming the light.
Second, the sound:
My stock speakers are OK, especially with the mids and trebles. Surprisingly good for stock speakers I would say. However, in order to crank out the corporeality of bass I like, they took a hit to the overall quality of the rest of the music, while not providing plenty bass.
With this sub installed, I can give my speakers an easier time, and get the lower end I was looking for....

Yep, it is a very squeamish Subwoofer!
My car audio was very thin on bass, with simply the iv mill 6.5" speakers in place. They sounded clean but lacking in the low stop. I decided to try the Sound Storm LoPro10 ten" amplified subwoofer later on reading the good reviews from buyers.Bluntly, my home theater Sub has a 7-1/2 cubic ft enclosure, and I realize deep smooth bass nearly always means "large." I half expected a kind of boomy, single frequency bass from the ten" where the low end was ever the same frequency, like many machine subs I hear.Well, this sub about blew me away! Talk about clean, polish bass! I can follow the bass line in the music up and down the scale, with no missing notes, just similar a real subwoofer! The designers went out of their fashion to go bully performance out of such a relatively pocket-size enclosure. By controlling the speaker parameters and combining equalization with plenty power, information technology really does audio much bigger and more expensive than it is.It is well made, solid and heavy, with a look & feel of quality. I used #10 ability cables, and used Velcro hooks to stick it to the carpet nether my driver'south seat. Information technology connects to my radio via the preamp outputs. I've used it about 6 weeks now and I am very happy with it.
